Trustee Benny Williams
Village of Phoenix Elected Official
Trustee Benny Williams has lived in the Village of Phoenix with his wife Chmesa and two children for fifteen years. Trustee Williams has been actively involved in community affairs since first moving to Phoenix.
For over ten years, he has volunteered as a Police and Fire Commissioner to assist in hiring police officers and firemen who have the best interest of the residents at heart. He has also assisted in the production and printing of Phoenix Rising. The Phoenix Rising is the Village newspaper that showcases the accomplishments of the residents and informs residents of the progress of the Village.
Trustee Williams holds a Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in writing. He has authored four Christian books and one work of fiction that are all available on Amazon.com and through national bookstores.
In the fall of 2016, he will have completed his Master of Public Administration Degree (MPA) with a concentration in Organizational Management. His goal in obtaining degrees in writing and Public Administration is to assist Phoenix, other communities and private organizations with competently tackling hard questions and creatively solving them. He intends to communicate solutions to public issues by writing policies and proposals, voting for ordinances and legislation that are beneficial for the residents of Phoenix, also through proper administration and organizational management.
